A bank pen nearly broke my budget. I went to sign a form and the teller handed me a pen on a chain. I said, is it on sale? She said, it’s just for signing. Just for signing? In 1995, a pen like this lasted three generations.
I tested the chain, strong enough for a small loan. Then I asked if I could take it home. Priya says, Ravi, it’s attached. I said, so is my money, but the bank lets me withdraw it.
The teller smiled and pointed to the return slot. I returned the pen, then used my own.
