1. What this site is
IndiaPay is a money information site for Indians living abroad and for readers who follow the rupee. It publishes exchange rates, converters, remittance comparisons, deposit rates, macro indicators and a daily satire column about money. This site is operated by Thinking Minds Inc. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
2. Information, not advice
Everything published on this site is editorial content provided for general information. It is not professional advice of any kind. Nothing on this site is financial or investment advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any product, fund, deposit or currency. Rates, comparisons and calculator results are information only. Talk to a qualified adviser about your own situation before you act.
3. Data, widgets and sources
Macro indicators and reference rates come from the Reserve Bank of India. UPI figures come from NPCI, inflation figures come from MoSPI, and trade figures come from DGCI&S. Data widgets on this site show the latest values we hold from those sources. Rates and figures are reference values. They can differ from the quote a dealer, a jeweller, a bank or a transfer service gives you at the moment you transact, and they can be corrected or restated by the source after we publish them.
4. Tools and calculators
The converters and comparison tools on this site work out estimates from the latest stored reference rates and the figures each provider publishes. The amount a bank or a money transfer service actually gives you can differ because of fees, margins and the rate at the moment of the transfer. Always confirm the final amount with the provider before you send money.
5. Games: Rupee Call
In Rupee Call, each person gets one prediction per day on the direction of the rupee. Predictions are resolved against the stored reference rate for that day, and results are published on the game page. Games on this site are free, are played for points and standing only, and carry no prizes and no cash value.
6. Your submissions
When you send a message through the contact form or take part in a game or a tool on this site, you agree to be accurate, to send only content you have the right to send, and to send nothing unlawful, harmful or misleading. You keep ownership of what you send. You give us permission to read it, store it and reply to it for the purpose you sent it.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse this site. That includes trying to break or overload the site or its tools, scraping at a volume that harms other readers, impersonating another person, submitting false entries to games or forms, or using the site to break any law. We may remove entries and block access where we see misuse.
8. Intellectual property
The articles, pages, design and original data presentation on this site belong to Thinking Minds Inc. or its licensors. Brief quotes with a link back to the page you quoted are welcome. Copying whole articles, republishing our pages as your own, or removing credit lines is not permitted without written permission.
9. Affiliate disclosure
Some money guides on this site contain affiliate links, and those guides carry a commission disclosure where the links appear. If you sign up or buy through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate placements never change the comparison data shown on this site.
